Turtlenecks are a bit of a bother for me…why would I want to torture my neck just for sake of owning something with a jewel neck?
I think I own one jewel neckline – and that has a tie on it – it’s pretty, but I feel closed in and stuffy. “Jewels” at the neck are one of the hottest trends in necklines and jewelry – they draw attention to the shoulders arms as this gown by Tommy Hilfiger shows.
As a contrast, this piece by Chanel, showing jeweled pins at the neck is an edgier take on the usually subdued jeweled neckline! I think I need to rethink this trend and determine how best to work it into my fall wardrobe.
I’ll have to grin and bear it for the sake of fashion – but who hasn’t done that in the past, huh? Remember gauchos??
