Chicago’s White Night…All Night Party…Music…Art…Culture…Looptopia!
Looptopia was awesome this year! Last year it was too cold and too rainy so I went home…just walked right past everything!
This year, it was windy, but somewhat warm – rainy again (downpours at times) but manageable! I started out about 6:00pm and checked out the Open Easel painting competition and then headed on to the University Planter Competition. Then it was off to Macy’s to say “hello” to some of the designers showing their wares. I spent the rest of the night at Blick Art Materials on State Street. Some really cool stuff was happening at Blick’s Chicago Loop store. In the midst of musical performances and multiple creative exhibits was a live demonstration of body painting! Mario Ink supplied the artists and graduates of Chicago’s International Academy of Design & Technology provided the fashions. Out for a good time and showing off their most current skirts and headpieces were established Chicago designer Michelle Tan along with emerging designers Nora del Busto, Anastasia Chatzka and Erin Janish. See below for more information on Looptopia and view the pictures below of the body-painted gals!
