Are we talking mid-thigh? Does your company have a dress code?

As a general rule, conservative work places usually want skirts and dresses no further than an inch above the knee (even at a fashion magazine, my old boss made us do the "finger tips test," where we'd stand up straight with our arms hanging down along our sides. If the dress/skirt came below our finger tips, we were fine. If not, we had to stop wearing that dress to work or wear it with opaque black tights).

In a business environment, if people are paying a lot of attention to your attire, chances are, it's the wrong attire...for any reason. The idea of business attire is to not attract attention to one's endowments, but to the business at hand.
