WHOLLY CRAP!!!

One of my all time favorite albums EVER is finally reissued on a double disc.

Otis Redding
Otis Blue: Otis Redding Sings Soul (Collector’s Edition)
[Stax; 1965; r: Rhino; 2008]
Rating: 10.0

I can’t wait to buy this over the weekend. It is #1 on my buy list.

This reissue Also features six classic songs recorded Live at The Whisky A Go Go in Los Angeles in April 1966, which NEVER came out on CD and if you have not heard Otis Redding LIVE, it is a must listen. He was at a completely crazed fever pitched tempo with his live shows.

There is a reason that plenty of rockers have used Redding’s backing band, the horns and rhythm sections are GOD LIKE!!! From Blues Brothers and Elvis Costello to Frank Black.
