Fuchsia Just Isn’t for Girls Anymore

by: Wilde

I think fuchsia will become the next trendy color for the season. I see alot of cutting edge websites using the color within for an eye popping effect. Fuchsia: in womens fashion circles, fashion fuchsia is known as a popular color for clothing, shoes, and accessories, where it is a slightly less saturated hue of pink than Shocking pink.

In the 1950s, a popular brand of colored pencils, Venus Paradise, had a colored pencil called Hollywood Cerise which was this color. Before being renamed "Hollywood cerise" in the 1940s, the color had before that, since 1922, been known simply as Hollywood. Cerise is a French term for cherry or a moderate red.

I can do without fuschia - but I can really do without the pastels for spring - which is the lesser of the two evils?

katgirl - if you don't think pastels or fuchsia are going to be the hot then what color trend will happen this spring?
