New Games to Check Out

I’m loving Word Genius on the iPhone/iPad still, like a timed game of Boggle

If Puzzle Quest 2 is on the iPad, I LOVE that game. I got it for the Nintendo DS as well as the PS3.

Yesterday I bought Space Invaders Extreme 2 for the DS at Gamestop (NEW) for $4.99!!!! Ten dollar price drop. If you haven’t played the first one, no worries it is Space Invaders game with new modes, updated graphics and a great techno soundtrack. Rated “E” for everyone, perfect for Ben.
Check out the video:

I don’t know if you played too many XBLA games, but try out the Limbo, Shank and Tomb Raider demos. They are all tons of fun.

Alright another game that I have been waiting to pull the trigger on is Beat Hazard on the Indie Games area of XBLA. Twin Stick shooter that uses your own music on the HD to create what type of enemies and the frequency they appear at.

Batman: The Brave and the Bold: Vol. 1

Batman: The Brave and the Bold: Vol. 1 - Classic DC Comics fun!!! Is NOT trying to be Bruce Timm’s Batman: The Animated Series. Batman: The Brave and the Bold is trying to bring the lightness and fun of the Brave and Bold comic series into it. The comic series would have Batman teaming up every issue with a different hero. It was wonderful because you could see Batman with a hero he normally isn’t paired with as well as fighting villains you never see him battle. Another great addition to this series is before the title sequence of every episode has Batman and a guest hero wrapping up another caper. It is like you get to see twice as many guest heroes and villains per episode.

After reading that Hulu is heading towards a pay model for their service, I have to just scratch my head. I understand needing to find a way to sell your product, free can only pay NO bills. It is great that it will be on my PS3 and iPad, but I have a couple issues with this announcement.
One - Why am I being charged and still have to watch ads?
Two - Where are the new channels in this announcement? Cause, right now, I wouldn’t pay for what Hulu is offering.

I read this article about Hulu Plus and thought I would share.

I have always loved Tim Gunn’s (Project Runway) perspective. So when I heard about him dissecting comic book fashion I was uber excited to see how much fun he would have with this. Surprisingly Gunn takes this pretty serious and gave good reasons for why he liked/disliked certain fashion. Plenty of fun.
