Reebok Creates a 20th Anniversary Shoe

I tried to find something nice to say about these new Reeboks.... but EWE what an ugly shoe.

http://www.highsnobiety.com/home/the_daily_news/archive/2008/august/19/reebok_x_madden_20th_anniversary_recline_ph/index.htm

For the 20th anniversary of EA Games Madden football video game, they got together with Reebok on a limited edition Recline PH sneaker. The sneaker comes with a box cover all-over print, 20th anniversary mentioning and some other nice details.

Let's be honest here, it is certainly not a nice shoe, but something for the collectors and hardcore Madden fans. The shoe will be released in the coming weeks, so keep your eyes open.

Byrne/Eno together again

BONUS!

The new David Byrne/Brian Eno collaboration album can be streamed here: http://www.everythingthathappens.com/

I have always been a huge fan of both artists and I'm happy as a lark that they are creating together again.

From the Site:

"Brian Eno and I recently finished our first collaboration in about 30 years. The name of the new record is Everything That Happens Will Happen Today. For the most part, Brian did the music and I wrote some tunes, words and sang. It's familiar but completely new as well. We're pretty excited.

The album is available exclusively from this Web site. You can stream all of the songs for free and purchase it in a variety of digital and physical formats, including a limited edition Deluxe Package designed by Sagmeister Inc. All formats can be downloaded immediately and physical CDs will be shipped in the Fall.

All In This Tea Documentary

I heard Kevin Rose, from diggnation, mentioned this documentary and I want to check it out.

"All In This Tea takes us into the world of tea by following world-renowned tea expert David Lee Hoffman to some of the most remote regions of China in search of the best handmade teas in the world.

Hoffman is obsessed; during his youth, he spent four years with Tibetan monks in Nepal, which included a friendship with the Dalai Lama, and was introduced to some of the finest tea—that golden nectar with which we can taste the distant past."

Invincible - The Series

Invincible by Robert Kirkman is a fantastic capes and cowls comic. I have been touting this book for a couple years and watching the trailer got me VERY thrilled.

I watched iFanboy Mini tonight and at the end of the it came a trailer for the Invincible - animated series. I tried finding the trailer for it on the youtubes to no avail.
http://www.invincibleseries.com/

From the site:
When high school senior Mark Grayson inherits his superhero father's abilities, he trades his fast food apron in for a flashy costume and starts saving lives and trading blows with the world's most powerful super-villains, all in time for dinner.

MTV New Media presents Invincible, based on the comic book created by Robert Kirkman and Cory Walker. Available everywhere July 22nd, this 36-part series brings comics to life as never before.

It's probably the best superhero comic adaptation in the universe.

As part of its recently launched back-to-school campaign from New York ad agency Saatchi and Saatchi, JCPenney is playing off the famous scenes in the 1985 film "The Breakfast Club." I can't believe how horrible the clothing line looks.

I saw the commercial and was brought right back to that classic John Hughes film. Even down to the movies theme song, Simple Minds "Don't You Forget About Me", but the commercial has the song redone by New Found Glory. You can purchase the EP that includes the track ONLY at JCPenneys store.

I completely missed Heroes: Season Two, I watched the first five episodes but became bored with the Mexican brother/sister Wonder Twin Powers storyline & the Hiro in the past thingy. BUT everyone who watched the entire season said it was mind bending. I will have to get it off my XBox 360 and watch Season Two before 9-22-2008 because that is when Season Three: Villains premieres.

From that clip I MUST be tuning in.
